If you’ve got something on at the Hervey Bay Marina, the Ramada by Wyndham Hervey Bay is one of those “why would I stay anywhere else?” options. It’s just metres from the marina (which was the whole reason it worked so well for me), so you’re not messing around with extra driving, parking, or timing stress.

Why I stayed (and what stood out)

I did a staycation-style night and was really happy with how easy they made it for business travel. They offered me corporate rates, and I also received a corporate voucher, which is a nice touch if you’re travelling for work and want something simple included without thinking too hard.

Who it’s best for

Ramada feels like it’s set up perfectly for:

• Business travellers who want a comfortable base with a proper workspace (they highlight large desks/workspace + free high-speed Wi-Fi).

• Event / marina trips where you want to stay close and keep the whole trip smooth.

• Couples or families who want hotel conveniences with a resort-style feel (they offer rooms and apartments, and the property is known for its pool setup).

Facilities worth knowing about

If you’re choosing based on “do I have everything I need in one spot?”, Ramada ticks plenty of boxes:

• Onsite bar & tapas (Miss Smokey’s)

• Two pools + heated spa (good if you’re turning a work trip into a mini-break)

Location

They’re in Urangan, on the Esplanade, and the big win is the marina proximity.

My quick verdict

If you’re heading to an event at the marina, Ramada is a super convenient, business-friendly stay that still feels like a proper “reset”. Corporate rates/voucher were the cherry on top.
